Karitane continues to monitor and respond to COVID-19 following all NSW Health guidelines. We offer both face-to-face and virtual services and our team work with each family to match the right service to their individual needs. All our services are evidence-based and delivered by a highly trained multidisciplinary professional team of child and family health nurses, perinatal infant mental health nurses, paediatricians, GPs, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists. Karitane supports new parents particularly in the first 2,000 days with sleep and settling, feeding and nutrition, establishing routines, toddler behaviour, conduct disorders and emotional dysregulation and pre and post-natal anxiety and depression.

Our residential stays offer a 3 and 4 night inpatient service to families in NSW experiencing significant parenting challenges. Unique to Karitane Carramar, we cater to children 0-4 years of age and support families in a holistic approach with facilities to accommodate families with two or more children and where your partner is encouraged to stay or visit as frequently as possible.

Our team of Registered Nurses, Clinical Psychologists and Social Workers work with families using a model called Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). PCIT is based on play and aims to increase positive behaviours and reduce the negative behaviours of your toddler by strengthening the parent-child relationship and giving you some strategies to better manage your child.
